Tombstone Territories RV Park/Huachuca City, AZ

We so enjoyed Tombstone Territories RV Park and surrounding area this past winter that we extended our stay for a few days. This is a great RV park, offering blacktop approaches with spacious, gravel, pull through sites with full hookups. Quiet with good mountain views. John, the owner, guides you to your site, and provides a brief history of the surrounding mountain ranges and local history. What a great host! The park is very clean. A must do activity is John's Friday night hoot-an-anny - what a hoot!!! We found it to be a good value for $25.00 per night.

We spent several days at Ft. Huachuca recently...great area!

Do the wine tours...off to the west...Sonoita and Elgin. Elgin had the best wines and prices IOHO.

Go to Nogales. Park on the US side and walk in..Good food, good shopping and a pretty nice Border Town experience, all things considered.

A full day for Tombstone, and a full day for Bisbee. Take the southern route to Bisbee. Tour bus is a good deal while. Dining was better (excellent, as a matter of fact) and less expensive in the Copper Queen than in the new area on the main drag.

In Bisbee, check out Dixie's Diner. Right next to it, there are a bunch of vintage RV's, available for rent as "motel" rooms. Really neat place!

Took a trip to Coronado Peak. It is a National Park. Drove to where you can hike to the peak itself. Take it easy (it is around 8000 ft), but it is enjoyable.

Best,

Enjoy the area...really great place
