Tire balancing
As a point of interest, our new Montana came without the tires being balanced, and the lug nuts were torqed down so tight that the titration dealership that was replacing the original tires had to use the heavy duty impact wrench used with commercial trucks to break them loose.

Ours came with the original tires and they were balanced. I saw the tech pulling off the stick on weights when he started replacing them last year. Guess this is another something Keystone isn't paying to have done.

I've bought new 2000 / 2005 / 2011 Montana's ... none had balanced tires straight from the factory. I had them balanced as I believe it is something that should be done.

I don't know if our tires were balanced from the factory but they are now. Any new tire gets balanced. HamRad

It is easy to tell, look for balance weights. No weights, no balancing.

Hi
Remember the wheels are “lug centric” if you have any problem finding someone to balance them the late model Chevrolet autos are lug centric and the Chevy dealers have the proper equipment to balance them.

Mine were balanced with a centering cone ... perhaps not as exact as the lug method, but close enough for my fiver. I don't see the fender skirts shaking anymore.

Mine were originally balance with a center cone and 3 were OK the forth one was out by three Oz When Chevrolet balanced them on their machine.

I had mine balanced when the unit was new and when I bought new tires, had them balanced. I guess it is just a quirk of mine!
