Securing sliding door

We've read on here about the sliding door pulling the track from the ceiling when going over rough roads. The fix suggested was to cut a hole in the pantry to get to the track to secure the screws. So, to avoid the problem, Dick cut a piece of plastic pipe that fits snugly under the door (think it is 1", maybe 1-1/4" -- it was on hand). He drilled a hole in one end and fastened a loop of nylon twine through the hole. That makes it easy to pull out. Hopefully this will keep the door from bouncing up and down and we can avoid the problems some of you have had.

The hole in our pantry came standard on our 2008. Too bad Keystone didn't think of a better fix like you did.

It is to bad that Keystone didn't use a few more screws to hold the track in place. Been there done that too.

Sort of like the TWO screws used to secure the large rear window day/night shade in the rear of the coach...must be a better way.

I wedge one of my wife's sandals in along side the door to keep it tight. Has worked very well all these 10 years!

Exactly. After our large shade in the back fell down and discovered it was only held up with 2 screws, we decided the track is probably only held up with 2 screws as well. We already have one hole cut in the panel in front of the sliding door to fix plumbing problems. Didn't want to have to cut another hole!
