Dometic 10 cubic foot fridge...

Does anyone have the Dometic 10 Cubic Foot fridge installed? Does it take up any additional counter space versus the 8 cu ft model or is it just deeper? Does anyone know the model number of the 10 cu ft fridge so I can look it up on-line?

but it's not clear which model is the 10 cu ft model for the Montana. I figure if I can find that I can compare the dimensions and that will answer my question.

We were talked out of the 10 cubic foot by the dealer, primarily based on cost vs benefit.

However - in your research, I seem to remember her saying the 10 cubic foot was actually a Norcold unit, not Dometic. I think the Norcold is what is used for the quad door fridge in the Big Sky as well.

You are correct Brad, our Big Sky has the Norcold unit, Norcold is a division of Thetford Corporation. Norcold does not make a 10 cu ft. model but they do have a 9.5.

Thanks for the information. We're purchasing the Montana 3400RL so I wonder if it's the same fridge as in the Big Sky? That would seem logical since they're both made by keystone I guess.

I did call Keystone Customer Service today to try and find out. The rep told me that he wasn't sure of the model number but that the bigger fridge was just deeper and would not eat into any counter space which is good. He xferred me to a sales person and I left her a voicemail but haven't heard anything back yet.

In the meantime, I'll check out the Norcold site. Thanks again for the info!

The fridge that comes in the Montana is a Dometic 8 cu ft or 10 cu ft double door. The Big Sky has a 12 cu ft quad door slide that is only used in the Big Sky.

My dealer also talked me out of the 10 cu ft fridge on my Montana. I found it would be cheaper to buy a portable fridge and put in the washer/dryer closet or in the basement.
