New member from Idaho

Just purchased our first 5th wheel a couple of weeks ago. 2015 Mountaineer 291RLT. Have been playing with it in the driveway and getting some new gear for it. It is a little cold to take it out right now so have to wait for a shake down trip. Have been doing some detail work on it and fixing some minor things that we have spotted. Only thing I have found so far that may be a dealer issue is our bedroom and also the dinning side top seals do not fold out completely when extending the slides. I got them in the correct position by hand so we will see if that gets the memory back to them. All in all pleased with the unit so far.
We have spent three months each summer for the last 11 years in the Island Park area of Idaho in our 26ft. Nash TT so we are not new to the RV deal. We just have grown out of the trailer and plan to do another three months at least in the winter.
I have been reading here for a while and you all seem to be very helpful.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a great group of knowledgeable folks here ready and willing to help. Talcum powder on the seals may make them slide back into shape easier.

Welcome to the MOC forum. We had the same problem with the weather strips and found a spray lube at CW that fixed ours. No mess no fuss just spray in the spring and forget about it.

Welcome to the MOC family. Likewise, we use a spray lube for the rubber seals once a year.

Welcome to the forum!
Congratulations on the new fifth wheel. Part of the enjoyment of owning a Montana is this forum. Sounds like you’re really enjoying it. Warmer weather will be here before you know it then you can take that shake down trip. This is a great place to share and find information about your Montana. Don’t hesitate to jump in and ask questions you may have.
