Bears

Yesterday I came downstairs about 6:30 and walked over to out sliding glass door in the front of our house and there not 3 feet away from me was a bear just standing on the deck. He had already emptied the bird feeders. Then he headed over to the hummingbird feeder and emptied it. He just stood there and drank the sugar water. He came back last night for another late night snack. This time there was a little surprise for him. Turned out to be a shocking experience. I had an electric fence changer hooked to the bird feeder. He wasn’t nearly as hungry as he thought.
Bears are common here in western Va now. 30 years ago there was a few but now a real problem. You best not leave anything they would think was something to eat in the back of your truck. I keep a fence changer on the trash can.
Does anybody else have a problem with them?
