New Member First Post
Hi New member here, just placed a order for a new 3295 RK and
a friend of mine recommended this site.
I am also a first time Montana owner, have pulled fifth wheels for lots of years though, starting out with a 24 Komfort, we just traded in a 2000 Alpha Ideal for our Montana.
Question how many amps does the fireplace draw? wondering if I am going to need a bigger Gen?
Thanks in advance
Dee

Hey Dee, welcome to the MOC. I can't answer your question, but I didn't want you to feel like you were being ignored. Someone will be along that has the answer you are looking for before too long.

Hi Dee,
Welcome to the MOC. Most of us have owned other RVs, but I can tell you, it sure would have been nice to have the support this site gives you, back then. As for your genset, how big is it? The heating part of your fireplace is going to draw 13 to 15 amps. I think they are approx 1500 watt heaters. The flame & fan wouldn't draw much. If your genset runs your A/C, it will run your fireplace.

Welcome Dee to the MOC family.
Glad someone jumped in there on your fireplsce question as I would have had no idea.
Anyway, welcome and enjoy the club. Take what you can from it, we only ask that you throw in some of your own from time to time.

Dee,
Welcome to the forum and to the family of new Montana owners. We purchased ours in June of this year and love it. Hope to see you on the boards sharing your knowledge.

Welcome to the MOC. We also had a Komfort 27 ft 5th wheel. I have nothing bad to say about it. The Montana just suits us better.
Check out the spring national rally and the regional rally both in California next year.
