Thetford Replacement
After reading all the bad reports about the Thetford toilet and how it could all of a sudden break and flood your trailer, I stepped up and bought the 310 with sprayer. Bought it from Camping World for $155.96 with free shipping and got it in 3 days. They had a 15% off and I couldn't resist. Will consider putting shut-off in line when installing. Everyone says it is an easy install. Will find out.

Depending on how the water line comes in to the toilet, you may have to modify it to connect to the Dometic. I was lucky with ours as I only had to swing the PEX over to reach the Dometic connection. Other than that, it really is a very easy install.

I had to drill a new hole from basement to water closet. Then had to install a pex 90 degree fitting.

Well, I got the old toilet out and flange cleaned up. Took the panel underneath storage area to reach the plumbing going thru the floor to toilet. It comes off a T and could not disconnect pipe from T. I'll have to bend it over about 4" to make connection to toilet. Took pipe strapping brackets loose so I can move the pipe over to make connection. The new toilet connection is 4 1/2" off the floor and the old one 8" off floor and off center the 4". No room for shut off unless I want to do a bunch of extra plumbing. Should take about a 1/2 hr tomorrow 'if' everything goes right.

On our 2010 we had to shorten the door on the cabinet behind the toilet because the 310 was taller than the old Tetford. On our new rig a 320 just dropped right in. I used a pex cutter and some shark bites to move the plumbing easily both times.

We are at home in covered storage and won't be using trailer until September. Plenty of time to get it done.

When i installed ours I used a pex tee and a 6 in piece of pex and I made an anti hammer before the shutoff valve as i had to move the pipe over to the right about 3 inches and it makes the toilet really quiet when you release the peddle.

We just installed a 320 without a sprayer But when you release the foot lever there is a loud clunking noise in the valve area. Is this normal?

Ditto for us. Dropped right in but I did add a shut off valve. Sharkbite fittings made it real quick and easy.
Thanks to DQ above and everyone else on here for the recommendation on what to use.

It would add a little plumbing but I wish I had put in a T with a valve and hose fitting so I could more easily use a cleaning wand on the black tank. About once a month or so I pull a hose thru the trailer hooked up to a wand and give the black tank a good work over. the wand has a spinning pressure head, far better than the factory wash out line I would think....
