Dryer won't start? No action at all?

and.. you did check the outlet to insure you have power to the dryer and the door is securely shut.

Probably a thermal fuse at the dryer vent outlet.

Many moons ago I used to buy washers and dryers at auction for next to nothing (and sometimes hauled them away when they wouldn't sell). Bad door switches was a common problem. Nothing like putting a quarter (I imagine more than that now) into it and selling it for $50 and the buyer thinking they got a steal.

Guess I had better go shopping for gloves to complete the professional look. Oh wait I can't stand wearing gloves when working with screws like that. And that folks is why I fail to make the grade.

Darwin, I do the gloves thing when I can, but generally I can only find three left-hand ones
