Got my Camping World gift card and it's burning a hole in my pocket. Was looking at one of those outside carpets you put under the awning (not the patio-mat thingies).
Seems like it would keep the RV cleaner, but I suppose it can get wet and dirty itself making it a chore when it's time to roll. Any part timers use these?

Brad & Dory,
We have one of these that is 20' x 8' I believe. Its been great for us. We fold it and use bungie cords to keep it folded. It allows the water to go through but it doesn't tend to wick water up. We'll occasionally just put it in the driveway and hose it down when needed. We have never regretted buying it.

Our first TT (used) came with that green fake grass carpet stuff. I was so green to RVing that I was excited to have some! Boy did I learn quick, what a pain. When we picked up our new Mountaineer, one of the first things that I HAD to have was a big breathe through "carpet". I love how water and sand goes right through it and I can easily sweep it off. I don't have to feel guilty about the yellow grass underneath ( if we had to put it down ). It folds up nice and isn't sloppy messy enough that I wouldn't put it in the basement. I paid an ungodly amount of money for it, but I blame that on the fact that I am still a green RVer!!

Where do you guys find green grass to put the carpet down? The only place I have found is in my back yard.

Wehave one of the breathe through outdoor carpets, and love it. I found a broom at an oriental store that is made in viet nam and was used for sweeping out the homes there. It is made form bamboo and works very well for cleaning the carpet off. It is also easy to keep clean itself, and is about two feet wide and very light and easy to use.

I picked up a bamboo "carpet" at Sams Club. I haven't used it yet, it's sitting in the back floor of my truck. I figure it will be easy to wipe down, and it rolls up quick and easy.
