Vesta Dishwasher
We are anticipating picking up our 3400RL at the end of March, beginning of April timeframe and have one of the Vesta Dishwashers from Camping World in out TT (currently on a rolling microwave cart). We are trying to decide between countertop usage or if it is possible to install it in the vicinity of the sinks. Has anybody heard or tried anything like this. Both have disadvantages: countertop means visible hoses and am not sure about quick-connect working in the sink faucet, installed means bending over to use it. All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

no, but it doesn't mean it can't be done.

Bingo and Cathy,
Rich is right, it has been installed under the sink -
Unfortunately I don't remember who posted the install. They had it done at the dealer and is a clean job.
I'm considering installing it at the end of the island just under the counter above the HW tank. I haven't done my measuring yet, but there seems to be plenty of room height and width wise. The depth will consume the majority of the cabinet facing the living room.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I have also seen folks put the dishwasher in the washer/dryer cabinet. All your hook ups are right there already plumbed. One might have to build a shelf of some sort to get the dishwasher high enough. This of course will only work if you do not have a washer and dryer already installed in that closet.

Washer and Dryer closet is definitely out. DW would probably make me sleep in the basement if I gave her a choice between the dishwasher and the Stackables we are having put in. Don't have 3400 yet so can somebody give me the measurements between the end of the counter near the steps and the wall (small pantry closet). Curious whether microwave cart will sit there until we make a definite choice of which way to go. Dishwasher on cart needs about 22" width.

I heard somewhere, can't remember which forum, of someone having one put in where the oven would normally be located. They didn't want the stove oven and ordered it this way and had dealer or someone install dishwasher there.

I think Mudchief has the dishwasher installed in their rig. I vaguely remember feelings of jealousy when he posted. I'm sure a PM will get you the info you need. Good luck and congrats on the new rig! Our new 3400 was due off the production line on 22 Feb; hope to pick it up in about 10 days.

In the spirit of keeping everyone informed, Mudchief e-mailed his installation pictures which had the Vesta dishwasher installation below the sink and near the floor. We will not be doing a similar install in that DW has a back problem that would preclude her bending to load and unload the dishwasher. Inspection of the unit Saturday yielded that the microwave cart option will not work either (cart placement will impact travel-ways). We will be placing the dishwasher on the counter on the end nearest the living room since outlet and sink are accessible from there. Believe quick-connect will work in the faucet sprayer. I am pondering building a cabinet to hold the dishwasher and hide the hoses, cords, etc. from view in the living room. If and when this happens (sounds like a summertime project), I will post details with a picture.
