Remote starter nice for slide outs.

I always liked the Vipor Security Remote system I had installed on my truck and I found it works great for setting up my slide outs on the road. If we are going to have a good mid day break, I choose a rest area where we can put out the slides and I can do all my checks inside the Montana, start the truck from inside the Montana and hit the slide button. I know you can use the slides on battery power alone but it is easier on the batteries if you are running your engine.

You are right Don,

I have used a remote starter on my last three trucks. I started to use one so when I came back into the marina on a hot summer afternoon I could preset the air in the truck and start it from the mouth of the harbor. When I had finished putting the boat away the truck had cooled down nicely for the ride home. Might have been a bit hard on some one walking by the truck when it started by itself. I've never been one to just jump into a vehicle and take off. I've always liked to let them warm up at least a little. So on a wet winters day I'll preset the defrosters and start the truck 5 minutes before I'm ready to leave for work. It's worked for me over the last 6 or 7 years.
