Bedroom slide doesnt stay closed
I have a 2005 Montana 2980 RL. When I put in storage at the rv storage lot, I pull the batteries and leave. When I come back a month later to check on it the bedroom slider has popped out 6". This happens every time I leave it for a while. The hydraulic fluid level doesnt change, and I dont think there is a leak in the system. How to keep this from happening?

Air in the hydraulic system add oil and run slides in and out a couple times. That fixed mine.

My bedroom slide is cable/electric, not hydraulic.

I would think you may have a weak hydraulic ram that is allowing fluid to leak by inside the ram thus loosing pressure to keep slide closed. It can be expensive to replace, probably not bad if the ram could be removed and overhauled.
For now you could use a block(2x4) or two cut to the right length and install for transit between the wall and the back side of the retracted slide. Our very first 5er with a slide came with two bars that we installed in that fashion for transit.

I agree with DarMar. We had that problem with our 2005 and replacement ram was covered under extended warranty. It happened again and they eventually replaced the pump. That was the final fix.

Two possibilities usually answer your question ... a cylinder seal or the check valve in your pump assy. If you have a leaky piston seal on one of your cylinders, the pressure built up resulting from drawing in the slides slips past the faulty seal and pushes out the slide with the least resistance till the pressure falls off. Sometimes if you just "bump" the slide switch to extend after you retract the slides, it equalizes the pressure enough that the slide creep is minimal. The other possibility is the check valve in the pump assy itself. Unless you are familiar with hyd pumps and inner components, this is a replace situation and it is pricey.

I would first ch fm the manual valves in the control panel on the outside left front of coach. Make sure they are turned all the way to stop. Don't ask how I know#128532;
