Any shortcuts to step removal?

Seems like it should be a pretty straight-forward process. I will be removing the rear step assembly so that I do not have to transport the entire rig to have the second step recall work done (that should have been done the first time around). If anyone has done this and has hints to make it easier, your input will be well received. Out of curiosity, how much does the entire step assembly weigh? Will be going to mini-storage this weekend to do a preliminary assessment.

4 bolts and a floor jack for mine. It takes two people to comfortably lift it to say your pickup. You could just put some quality bolts in yourself and not mess with removal.

I would rather have the two sets of steps match or I would do the work myself. Besides, Keystone is footing the travel bill, so being the smartical thinker type, I decided that Feb 13th would be the perfect date for getting the fix applied. Free trip and overnight stay on Valentines Day weekend!! Brownie Points all around on this one, and all it takes is a little work on my part. A no-brainer and DW has elevated me to temporary hero status again!!

That is some good planning. I agree, floor jack and two folks can handle it.

There is an easy way but I don't think you would won't to do it like we did. We parked to close to a large log and pulled forward. Got them off quick just wasn't very pretty but it worked.

Yes I don't think I would do it again either but you never said anything about putting them back on.
