Light switch access?

Just tried to turn on the two bulb 12V light over the stove. The on/off switch is locked up and won't move. I removed the bulb covers and don't see any access to the switch. Before I start tearing things apart, thought I would ask if anyone knows if there is user friendly access to the switch from the back of the fixture? I'm suspecting I might have to replace the fixture.

I know of many folks who've replaced them, never heard of anyone fixing one. Doesn't mean you can't, however.
