Aram goes to Dutchmen

THE GOSHEN NEWS

ELKHART — Thor Inc. has made changes in leadership at its Dutchmen RV subsidiary. The company announced that Matt Zimmerman, president of Keystone RV, will assume the additional responsibilities of overseeing Dutchmen RV and Aram Koltookian, formerly general manager at Keystone, will become executive vice president of Dutchmen.

Will miss Aram and wish him the very best. He certainly supported the MOC. He took Keystone Montana to a level of success unmatched in recent years. Dutchman is located in Goshen.

I still like my Keystone Montana.

I wonder who will be his successor. He was a huge supporter of Montana and The MOC. Our mentor is gone.

This is what happens to good people. If the corporations recognize a person's success in a lesser position, they will often get promoted to a higher position in a way to spread the success over a large scale. The hope is that he'll be allowed to do this new job AND be able to adopt this mentality to the rest of his peers and subordinates.

I'll say congratulations and the best of the future to both of them. If they are successful, then we'll be happier. There's also a good chance they help pick their replacements and if the replacements follow their success then all will be good not only in Montana land but the other lands they touch. This is how a company remains successful.

Again, Congrats to the both of them.

Steve:

Thanks for sharing this news.

Best of Luck to Aram and his new venture in the Thor organization.

He will indeed be missed by the MOC Group.

Phyllis and I were able to see Aram at the Tampa RV Show in January and he was able to help us get our graphics issue resolved

This is a major concern for both MOC and Montana owners in general. Aram wanted this brand and our group to succeed and my experience with others in management was less than positive. Hopefully the others can get their act together.

Our best goes out to Aram in his new position. Now the Keystone Montana Group will have to watch out for the Infinity from Dutchman. Under Aram's guidance Montana may see more competition in the 5th wheel industry.

I have no doubt that Dutchman will be the # 1 best seller in the near future.

Congrats to Aram and we are now looking forward to the great people in management as they have big shoes to fill. I have confidence in the team that Mike will put together and do their best to keep Montana as the top sales leader in the industry.
Thanks Steve for the info.

Companies excel and some become not so good, depending on the Management/leadership at the top. Hopefully Keystone transitions the right way.

Best of luck to Aram. We're losing a good friend and advocate. Now we have to train someone else.

Mike Mack is Product Manager of Montana divisions at Keystone RV.

That is the position Jeff Rank (for those who remember him) had when the club and forum started. Aram worked under him.

When Jeff was promoted to Vice President/Group General Manager in charge of 1/2 of Keystone's product lines Aram moved up to Product Manager of the Montana division.

Fast forward, Jeff Rank leaves to go to another company and Aram moves into Jeff's position of Group Manager of 1/2 of Keystone. Brian Doss becomes Montana Product Manager.

When Brian Doss left the Montana Division, Mike Mack moved into his place.

Mike is in the exact position that Jeff Rank was when we started MOC, so we are in good shape and no one should be alarmed. We are missing the valuable contact of the person who will be replacing Aram but I am sure we will be informed of who it will be soon.

Please Note: I may have messed up some of the exact titles but this is how the hierarchy at Keystone has gone since the inception of the MOC.

Lady Rv, thanks for the great explanation of the Keystone management matrix. We could have speculated out here forever.

Terrie and I would like to join our fellow MOCers in wishing Aram well. This will be the third Montana leader that we've had since we joined the MOC. We have confidence that we will be getting a highly qualified person at the helm.
