UPDATE-Please pray for our Grandson, Will

We have just found out our little grandson, Will who has been battling Leukemia for the past 3 years, now has a bacterial infection. He was taken to the ER last night with a fever and sent home because his fever went down and his ANC counts were good. However, the blood culture now show a bacterial infection and this can be very serious. He is now being admitted to Albany Med. This has happened before and he came through fine, but it is very worrisome. He is only 5yrs. old and has been a real trouper through the whole ordeal. He is coming very close to the end of his treatments (February 10). We have really appreciated your prayers in the past and for the most part he has been doing well so far. This is another bump in the road. Please continue to pray for our little guy!!!

THE ANTIBIOTIC IS WORKING AND HE IS GOING TO BE RELEASED TODAY!!! THE CULTURES TODAY SHOW CLEAR AND HE WILL BE GOING HOME ON ANTIBIOTICS. TOO MANY GERMS IN HOSPITALS SO WE ARE HAPPY!! THANKS EVERYONE! IT IS SO GREAT BELONGING TO A GROUP LIKE THIS!!

It’s difficult to hear of a little one with those kinds of problems.
A prayer has already been sent.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I just talked to my son and he says Will is doing fine. They think they caught this thing real early and the antibiotics are already working. They actually put him on the antibiotics last night before the culture had a chance to grow and show he had the bacterial infection. I spoke to Will myself and he seemed very much like himself, cheerful and having fun with his roommate. Hopefully, he will be able to go home in a day or two. Again thanks for your prayer, they are working!!!! I will keep you updated as things change.

Al and Nita,
We wish the very best for your little grandchild. He's made it before and he'll make it again. That's the only thing you can have in your mind. And that will make all the difference in the world.
