Replace Wet Bolts??

I have had Morryde Wetbolts in my 2006 Monty since 2010. The wetbolts were not installed in Monty's in 2006. I have greased the wetbolts annually. In 2014, I replaced the rear two wetbolts because they would not take any grease--regardless of taking weight off the wetbolts. Now it looks like I will replace the remaining 6 wetbolts. Same problem--cannot get them to take grease. I am wondering if this is what others should expect to experience -- a useful life of about 7 years on the wetbolts?? Even with annual maintenance. I typically tow about 3500 miles per year.

Morryde did tell me in 2014 that the rear wetbolts had a tendency to clog up and required replacement.

Hopefully you are replacing the brass bushings as well when you change the bolts. I've changed a few shear springs and have noticed the brass bushings in the spring eyes are pretty worn. The brass bushings are not all that thick whether you grease frequently or not.

I use a heat gun on mine to warm them up first then the grease usually goes in

You might also just try replacing the grease fittings without removing the bolts. Or even use something with a small sharp point to push on the ball in the fitting. Sometimes those little balls inside the fittings stick and are almost impossible to break loose using only a grease gun.

As for replacement--the complete bolt, sleeve, grease fitting--all will be changed to NEW items.
