Solar panel tilt system

My new project is under way. I now have four panels on remote tilt and I will finish the other two very soon.

I know it was a lot of work, but they sure turned out great.
Might make you a lot of money in the future.
Will we see you at Quartzsite. Ron

I could build them to tilt the other way also, but I decided that when I am boon docking I will just face the door side of the RV to the south.

I've seen these in action....amazing engineering. The slide brackets are so well designed and will be very rugged.

Just the push of a button, read the amp gauge to find the proper position, and you then have more solar power. Wonderful!

Sign us up, we'll take 6!

Gary - Fantastic job. I have wanted to install solar for some time but did not like the manual tilting required not to mention climbing up on the roof to do the tilting. I would be extremely interested in the solar panels you purchased, all the components you used to make them tilt, including motors used, brackets, wiring, controller, battery tie ins, etc. etc. etc.

I sure hope you are willing to share this information and where you found the components needed. Also, I would love to know the cost of everything and how soon you think the payback will come on your investment.

As I said before, I am extremely interested. I am pretty handy and think I can do this given enough information. Please consider sharing this information so more of us can enjoy being off the grid as you are. Thanks in advance for any and all information you decide to share. I really do appreciate it.

OK... I'm impressed. How do they hold up to the forces at highway speeds with crosswinds?

Gary thats a great fabracation on your roof there, it works and looks great.
From what I can see in the clip you have four panels, could there be five if you wanted to expand? forward of the last one, also how many watts does each plate have?
very nice....................................

Jetenbu:

I am still in the design and testing stage and will not be able to supply this product to anyone for a while (say another 6 months).
I worked hard on this and will not just give it away but I will give the best deal to the MOC family when all is completed.
My solar panels we purchased from AM solar and I did my own install, there is more info in my signature on the other equipment that I installed.

CORattler:

As Judy follows me on the highway she says that there is no movement from the panels, they are also locked in position for travel.
We did have high winds (don’t know how fast) here at Quartzsite for one day the wind blowing on the panels at about 45 deg and the panels moved very little.
People were pulling down there flag polls.

Don:

There are six panels on the roof, I only had 4 setup with the tilt when I did the video. All six are now complete.
My panels are 100 watts each.
