Mine is my original email name from back in the "olden days" when we used dial up modems...I am NOT real creative when it comes to names so when Doug was setting up our email names/accounts his was Fire1 (He tried for Fire but it was taken) as he as in the federal fire service and gave me eeoski as at the time I worked as an EEO Specialist (as in Equal Employment Opportunity) for the Department of the Navy and my family nickname Ski (which my Dad has called me since I was small and BEFORE he met my family Doug started calling me when we were dating).

Ours was likewise a difficult one to rationalize. We thought about our acceptance into the neighborhood by our neighbors to the East and came up with Big New Camper In Neighbor's Western View... or maybe it was Bingo and Cathy in West Virginia? I can't remember now???

Well, Dennis always says "tbhd" when someone asks him how's he doing? "Tbhd" is also on the trunk of his Gold Wing motorcycle. So, when we first joined MOC; it was just "normal" for us to use that. Finally after time he joined (I got tired of typing his answers)and is using "tbhd2". Oh by the way, tbhd stands for Tired, Broke, Hungry and Depressed.

Gee, Tammy, let me think a moment . . . Oh! Yes! We used our real names! How boring is that? Actually, I wish I had a cute tag instead of the real deal, but when I registered, I chose "safe" over "sorry." Now that I've been on the forum so much, I see that there are no sorry names--they're all pretty clever and say a lot about the people behind them.

When we first heard about the internet and had our business we were allowed 8 characters for a screen name, or whatever it was called. The business was The Boylan Agency so we took boylanag from the first 8.

My old CB handle was Packrat, it took a very long time to live that down since I always have been one, but since I spent 21 years in the Navy as a Diver/Photographer I figured I'd go for the best part of that career. It is much better than tileguy or tile setter, or old f__t. We play nurse maids to two Labs hence Labmom for Betsy...

Mine comes from my old CB handle - I'd just gotten my pilot's license and it has followed me like that proverbial lost puppy dog.

GGRANCH is a shortened version of Gruesome Gulch Ranch which is the name of our farm. When my Dad purchased this place in the 50's, it was home to a very large gully(arroyo) right down the middle of it (now a nice little private lake). Hence the name. At one time a letter sent to him at Gruesome Gulch Ranch, Kingsville, Mo would be delivered. Bob

Mine came from the fact that most of my friends come to me with their problems and I seem to find a way to fix them with whatever is at hand. It was either that or MsStewart, but that isn't such "a good thing" anymore.

I originally used my handle on an archery forum that I frequent. I was shooting very poorly that day, and just chose scattershot out of frustration.
