B&W Hitches??????

We have decided to get another 5th wheel hitch just in case a 5th wheel shows up in our future plans. My question is anyone using the B&W turn over ball with the Companion 5th wheel hitch??? If so what are your likes and dislikes. Thanks... GBY...

Pros: (1) Being able to completely remove the hitch assembly leaving the bed of your truck unobstructed. (2) Adjustable mounting allows you to position the fifth-wheel assembly front/back & up/down. (3) Ability to tow both Gooseneck ball and fifth-wheel trailers. (4) Easy coupling and uncoupling.

Cons: (1) Hitch assembly is awkward for one person to install/remove.(2)Gooseneck ball can be difficult to get out of the under-bed mount (3) Does not have slider capabilities.

would I purchase another one.. YES !!!

We like ours, have yet to need a slide hitch with a short bed Silverado. Like to get the hitch out in less than 10 minutes when not in use. Have buddies that have a gooseneck, like to have the capacity to pull their trailer in an emergency when their Dodge fails.

Thanks for all who replyed. We have made our decision, Tuesday we are going to have the B&W system installed. I knew the experts that were using this hitch would help in our research and to make the correct decision. Thanks again, and good Luck to all... GBY...

Delaine and Lindy,
The nice thing about this hitch. There is no guessing when you can drive out from under the hitch. As you extend your jacks the hitch receiver latch will open up and release the pin. It is so easy anyone can do it worry free.

It is a huge improvement over the 16K Husky I had in the old truck. No need here for slider. I have a long box truck.
