surround sound

i am haveing trouble with getting surround sound on the tv. has anone had that experence .have a 05 3475 unit

The dealer tech hooked ours up but I am sure someone will come along soon to help you out. You might also want to do a search here on the forum b/c I think there have been other post on this.

Surround sound only works in the DVD mode on the Quest system. We replaced our system with a sony 6-cd changer with am/fm. It was far better than the quest system. I gave my quest to my grandson for his college dorm room.

The surround sound does work for the TV but you have to change the settings. What we found was the quality of the TV picture went down considerably when the surround was on. Since we replaced ours, I don't remember which setting it was. There has been a lot written here on this subject. Do some searches and you should get some help on which setting it is.

You can only get surround sound using the DVD player which is disapointing because have it on the TV would be nice. If they put in a SS system it should be that way for all sources.
