Wheel bearings on (05) 2955RL

On my (05) 2955RL there are rubber diaphrams on the axle ends. I looked through all my documentation but am unable to find any information as to the function of these rubber seals.

Anyone know their function?

Thanks!

it sounds like you have easy lube axles. take the rubber off and you will find the lube fitting.

Yup,

joe2speed has got it. Just pop it out with your finger nail. Do not pressure lube it. A couple of squirts slowly with a hand gun once a year is all you need.

Happy Camping

Azstar is correct about using only a couple of squirts per year. Our dealer told me that when we took delivery. Then we started fulltiming. I figured the extra miles meant we needed extra grease. So I did two squirts each of the two times in a year. When we had him check the brakes after a year of fulltiming and probably 15,000 miles he told me I was putting too much grease in there and was almost getting it on the linings. He reiterated two squirts per year. So that's now what we do. The manual says to rotate the wheel while shooting in the grease. My dealer told me with just two squirts that's not really necessary.
