Shocks for TV

I have 47,000 miles on my 03 Dodge HD QC CTD which I use primarily for towing an 07, 3075 Montana. Just completed a 5000 mile jaunt from Texas up to Glacier and all the National Parks on the way back to Texas. Great Trip. Thinking its about time to replace the origional shocks on the Dodge before the next trip. From your experience what recommendations do you have?? Bilsteins, Monroe or any other brand?
Thx, Rob

Bilsteins, could not be happier with that choice. HUGE noticable difference immediately!

And, Al thinks so too!

Went with Rancho RS9000's with the remote compressor. I can change the firmness for the road conditions.

Bilstein's are suppose to be good but I never had them. I too went with the - RS9000 with compressor and am very happy with them.

Rancho 5000's here. Best thing to do with OEM shocks is junk 'em. JMHO, your mileage may vary

OEM shocks are uni-directional as resistance is on the recoil.
Aftermarket is bi-directional so resistance is during compression and recoil which makes for better shock absorbency.

I thought I would stay with a good old USA product, so I got 4 Monroe hd truck gas charged shocks. I recieved a "shock" that I didn't order: Made in China!
All in all, good choice, great performance, the price was right, BUT, hard to install the fronts ('03 Ford F-250 SD.

I ran the OEM shocks on my truck to 110,000 miles and finally replaced them with Bilstein's last fall. I have been very happy with the Bilstein's, although I did notice they are a touch stiffer than the OEM.

ANYTHINg is better than OEM!

I put Rancho 5000's on my F250 and have been very happy with them. No more wallowing and porposing!

Can bilstein shocks be added to the Mor/Ryde "RE" shock system after market? If yes, how much will it cost? If I have the air tools and mechanical skills can I add them myself?
