RETIRED TODAY !

Someday finally came!
Betty and I BOTH retired today. After counting the days for some time, the day finally arrived. We are looking forward to many more good times and having the time to enjoy them.
Interestingly enough, I still got up at 5:30 A.M. this morning. I don't expect that to last too long.
Now, every day will be a Saturday.

Absolutely Welcome to the club and congrats to you both. You will find it much easier to get up early when you don't have to then proceed to work.

No more weekends off and paid vacations and holidays. What a bummer.

Enjoy. Retired 7 yrs ago and loving every minute of it.

Retired is good. Some days I don't do anything. But, then I have to get up early the next day to finish it.

Congratulations! We have been retired 6 months and have loved every day. I highly recommend it for everybody. It was especially nice on those days when we were in Florida, wearing flip-flops and shorts, looked at the weather "back home" in central Arkansas and they were under 4-6" of ice. Our retirement plan is simple - Run from extreme weather.

You will know when you have fully adjusted to retirement when you can't remember what day it is, and you don't really care. Enjoy retirement.

The only bad thing about retirement is that "You never get a day off!" Congrats and maybe now you can come and join us at the MOC Central Plains Regional Rally in June! Let us show you some of our Nebraska hospitality and meet some of the other MOC members that are here on the Forum too!
