That "new trailer smell"

For those who recently purchased a new Montana, how long did it take for the "new trailer smell" to dissipate?

We are primarily looking at buying used, but must also consider new. My wife is allergic to the formaldehyde which makes her eyes and nasal passages burn.

Thanks!
