I retraced the wiring and I finally cut the heat shrink off the back of the switch and found 2 wires reversed. The ground was where the motor wire was supposed to be and the motor wire was on the ground terminal. You can't trust the factory o do it properly all the time.

Made in America? Made in Canada?

What was the problem you were having that prompted checking on this? Was the result that the operation was reversed (RET)ract label caused extend and EXT)end label caused retract)?

Since my landing gear has been working fine for seven years and matches the label, I suppose the wiring is correct on my unit. But if you have a 2008, why would the problem start now? Was there some recent work done in that area?

I did post the problem earlier the switch failed so I bought a new switch and it keeled blowing fuses.
