Tire Protection and Cover Advice

My 1st set of boat trailer tires (GT Marathons made in New Zealand) lasted ~6 years b4 showing the need to replace. New Marathons made in China only 4 years. New tires are Maxxis. None were ever covered and exposed to sunlight most all the time but sometimes sprayed with 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Now for my question. Our new 5r has Sailun tires that are much more expensive than the C-rated tires on the boat trailer. What covers do folks recommend? I see many, many brands on the web. Are some better? Also does anyone used some sort of UV inhibitor on their tires? I think the manual says to not do it. But something like http://www.sunblockfortires.com/ might prolong UV damage.
