Anyone try Netbuddy unlimited LTE Internet?

I saw some reviews of http://www.netbuddy.co which had some pretty great speeds, about 60 mbps down and 40 mbps up over LTE cellular connection, unlimited LTE, no de-prioritizing, no contract.

You buy a hotspot device and a SIM card from Netbuddy and then you can use the hotspot as a WiFi router or if you get the right device you can have it act as a modem-to-wired-Ethernet to supply a WAN Internet connection to your own router or gateway (which is what I would do).

I think they buy AT&T tablet LTE plans with 22 GB per month and pool the plans together and then they're able to offer "unlimited" LTE Internet to their customers as their back-end manages the plans to their customer SIM cards so you always get LTE speeds. Yes, sounds a little sketchy.

Last month (May 2019) they were charging $60/mo.
This month (June 2019) they're currently charging $65/mo.

Anyone try this?

I have unlimited att on my phone and stream Directvnow with no data usage. I was looking at getting the Verizion prepaid unlimited plan but as of May 21, 2019 they killed the plan.

I was very interested in doing the same thing as I run a server in my RV but not looking to go with ATT since I already have them, need a different carrier thats "unlimited" !!

Thats a very good price though, even at 65 !!

If you're on Facebook, join the site "Internet for RVers & Cruisers" as they are an excellent resource for all this type of information! Good luck!

I looked at netbuddy and could not order as all their stuff seems to be out of stock and stays that way. They have never responded to info requests. More research found http://www.otrmobile.com. There is an initial cost for sim card and setup of $100 to use your own device or you can buy device with sim card directly from them. Then it is $60 / month for unlimited data, no throttling and no contract. They use the AT&T network.

As I already have a wifi ranger setup, I purchased Netgear 4G LTE Modem from Amazon for $109 (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1), installed the OTR sim card and connected it to the wifi Ranger. Just took a trip with the teenage grand kids so phone use was non stop as well as the netflix viewing and I must say I am impressed with the speed provided, Mostly 50-60 mbps down and 30-40 up. Never noticed any slow down due to throttling.

The wifi Ranger is powered from RV 12 volt as is the Netgear box, so as long as you are driving within cell range, you internet access works just fine driving down the road - kids loved it.
