You haven't mentioned what type of hitch you have but my Curt Q24 has 4" of vertical height adjustment. Have you looked at this option?

Thanks. Ihave the B&W Companion hitch, and it’s set in its lowest setting now. This makes the trailer tow almost level, but I’m looking for a little more clearance for peace of mind.
