I really like our Rhinoflex hose but also need a storage tube to fit.

This what I found besides the fence post or 6" pipe version

Would a longer storage tube fit where the factory one is now?

I like that alot, and will bookmark the page. I will have to do some measuring but I think a 60" tube would work well in place of the OEM one. Thanks for the very helpful link Loui!!

I had 2 on our last coach. Didn't like the boom. So I installed 2 of the tubes. And like Bingo, still used Rubbermaid box for extras. When I was at Duke Hospital for Rad treatments, our campsite had a 40 ft distance to sewer. Sometimes you need a lot .

We actually used our boom for about one year. We made it work but it was a hassle. It is now in our storage shed at home. We store the extra hose in the Rubbermaid box. I thought they stopped using the boom.

The 3850 does not have a sewer boom. The provided storage system is a tube mounted under the front of the rig parallel to the frame. The tube does not swivel but is fixed in place. It is a reasonable concept but is too short to hold anything that is of use.

I do have the tube pictured above under the Montana. Like many here we carry a lot of sewer hose as we camp in a lot of fairgrounds with long runs to the sewer.

Guess I am one of the lucky ones in that our 3800RE has the boom system with over 4 feet of tube and it does swivel all the way around to point towards the back of the fifth wheel. Never had a sewer location that I couldn't get to. Sure, one in western maryland took over 50 ft of hose to get to the sewer inlet (at the rear of the rv site way behind the unit). I guess store the other hoses collapsed in a long plastic bin in the separate storage area on this model. And yes, camping World does have the tubing that Lippert uses for these storage systems (cheaper than Lippert) and they have one that must be 8 feet long. John
