Camera Monitors On rear of TT

I would suspect that most of us agree that our units are pretty long. With that in mind are any of you using a video monitor on your Montan or Mountaineer Travel Trailer or 5th to monitor overtaking traffic, rear clearance, backing into spaces etc.
If so let me know if you feel these are worth it and your thoughts on their value to your RV'g peace of mind etc.
Thanks

I have a camera mounted on my rear ladder. With the monitor in the truck. Its a 6 inch LCD screen.I find it very useful while traveling down the highway.I can see and hear 3 lanes of traffic behind me.I don`t usually need it for backing into a camp site, but I turn it on when traveling thats for sure. For me anyway it was a nice up-grade.

Harleyrider has an earlier post on this subject. In fact, if you do a search, I think there is another post on the same subject about a month ago.

tons of camera systems are out there you can spend over $1000 for the best
no matter what make sure you get "mirror immage"
so when a car is passing you it appears on the same side of the monitor as it would on a mirror.
I run my camera all the time when towing
if you want to to lowest cost get B&W
but I chose color my sytem is an inexpensive camera

and a lcd monitor I got from ebay
the only issue with this camera is the cord is too short for my 335rlbs so I used a standard (RCA ) video cable from Radio shack to get the signal up to the dash of the car
