PITZA STONE IN OVEN
I've heard that placing a pitza stone in the RV oven will even out the oven temp. We are not experiencing any problem with the oven temp but thought we would try placing the stone into the oven anyway.
The question is, where do you put the stone ?? On the complete bottom or on a rack ?? Do you place the pan your cooking in directly on the stone or on a rack above the stone ??

We went the cheap route and had an 11"x11" unfinished Terra Cotta tile cut to fit into the bottom recess of the oven. Propane heat seems to be much hotter than NG and this tile now diffuses enough heat around the oven to prevent our baking goods from getting burnt on the bottom.
Works great. Since then and during our travels the tile has split into two pieces on the diagonal, but it still fits into the recess and stays in place. Most pizza stones we saw were more expensive, more round than square and didn't seem like they'd fit right. The square stone solution seems to do the job. We've used it for many years.

Sorry, can't help. We use our oven for pots & pan storage only. We use the convection/microwave oven and DW loves it.

Stone goes on top of solid heat plate, food on rack above. Works for us, until we got the convection, now pan storage.

We do exactly the same, including the pan storage.

X2 for us except even with the convection oven we still use the stone and oven. Ours is a rectangular from Pampered Chef.

We use both of our ovens depending on what we are cooking. Pizza stone on the bottom helps keep bottom of baked food from overcooking.

I place the stone on top of the heat plate. Works great. Keeps the bottom of muffins, banana bread, etc from getting too done. I bought it at Target a few years ago.

I use an Air Bake cookie sheet in my oven and it works great. I put whatever I am cooking right on top of the sheet and it solved my burning on the bottom issue. Lighter weight then a Pizza Stone.

Stone on top of the heat plate, use racks as I do in the sticks n bricks.
CountryGuy was able to find me a square pizza stone some years back, on the internet. It fits right in the cut out area on that heat plate, like someone measured it. Lucky.
