Hi Bob and Nancy,

Up here (out west anyway) Diesel is just Diesel, We don't call it #2. Lots of Stations have it, & some don't.
Diesel, where I live is $ 1.06 litre (can). 3.78 litres = 1 US Gallon.
"licensed dining" just means you can buy alcohol with your meal at a Licensed Restaurant.
We have rest areas along our main highways ( but not near as many as in most States ).
I never (napped)in one, but out West anyway, they look Ok.
I can't help you with HW #17. Never been there.
