Duct Tape residue
Procrastination causes work - had a window shatter, covered with plastic, sealed the edges with dust tape - after replacing the window, did not clean up the duct tape. Now it's dry, WD40 or Goo Gone have not touched it - need a clue. Acetone and a wash and re-wax?

I just last week had to get it off of my tractor. I tried several things. Lacquer thinner WILL get off, easily.

WD-40 might work but the EPA seems to have made it less effective for much of anything now. Also acetone with care as it is a fiberglass resin thinner. Goo Gone I found will soften and remove paint as well as tape stickum. Kerosene, and as mentioned, diesel fuel Mineral spirits and turpentine are less aggressive then acetone and unlikely to cause harm but will work.
Which reminds me ...I too have some goo to remove

I use denatured alcohol for lots of stuff like this. They use it to clean plastics so it won't hurt the finish on your RV. I buy it by the gallon and use it when ever I get stuff on my hands or parts I want to clean. Duct tape is bad for stuff like this. I use the kind that the HVAC guys use on wire flex. its made of plastic and it sticks great and doesn't leave a glue residue behind. I need to get some more. I looked online and didn't find it. When I find it I will post it up.

Now mind you, this was 6 months old - OK - WD 40 worthless, Goo Gone - worthless. Diesel with rag and small piece of wood, worked on paint finish - no decals. Decals used diesel and finger nails. Moral of the story - don't stick dust tape on side of trailer - if you do, get it off so as possible.
