Low hot water pressure and making a whistling sound

The last two stops (two weeks and one week) we have had low water pressure in the hot water taps and a howling sound coming from behind the wall near the hot water heater. Is there a simple fix? Will anything get damaged if we just put up with it until winter maintenance.

I had a similar problem. My water heater had a check valve on the out going side and it got some calcium and debris and would whistle. Changed it out with a new Valtera like this one https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-RV_Fresh_Water-pt-Check_Valve.aspx and my problem was solved. Just remember to Teflon tape the threads and check for leaks.
