What is this?

Found this in the TV cabinet laying on the floor near the televator motor. The small black piece on the left spins freely. The brown center part is a spring the left portion of the spring pack does loosen in the threads yet the spring is not attached and will not expand as the piece is backed down the threads. The piece on the far right also spins freely. Inside this piece is a clear disc with an Allen wrench socket, this clear portion does not spin when the black piece around it does.

Your tv lift is probably much different than mine. Could it be a stop assembly for the lifting mechanism? Mine uses just a metal tube and bolt in the lift. Just guessing here.

It looks like the tension spring for your window shades.

Full Monty has the answer! That is the spring that goes in the Irvine Shades on the new units.

That’s it!! Great call. I’m guessing that it must have been there from the factory since the shade has no issues. Thank you again!!

It's a stop adjuster for a window shade.
