G - Link Cable

We picked up our (almost new) 2002 2955 last week. In the package of stuff left by the previous owner was a package labeled "G Link Cable". It apppears to be associated with something electronic like the stereo or TV, but I can find no mention of the cable or its use in any of the manuals. The cable is about 20' long, has a mini phono plug in the middle, and appears to have small light bulbs on each end. Can anyone identify this cable and tell me what it's for?

Good evening Wingnut,

We had one of those with ours too. The dealer's customer service guy who walked us through out unit said to not even use it. We never have and have still been able to use all the features of the TV and even the RCA guide feature that will come up if you go all the way through set up. The only time I have to reset that is when we move to a different location.

Hope this helps. The G Link Cable was only a few feet long not anything near 20 feet.

I double checked the length and it is 20' 5".
