Two Factory Issues

Hello:

We went out for our 1st Trip this past week and ran into two problems, that are clearly Factory Warranty Issues:

1. On the way to the CG on Tuesday - we were getting a Trailer Fault Aalrm, everytime we were stepping on the truck brake -- it would reset after a few seconds --

On Friday - when hooking up to leave the CG -- I could not get our brake controller to set at all -- kept showing a Trailer Short.

Turns out when the brake was assembled at the factory, they placed the wires in the path of the electromagnet, so each application of the brakes was crushing the wire and it eventually shorted.

Fortunately there was an on site RV repair shop (Mystic CT - KOA) and they had us going again within two hours, after troubleshooting from front to rear on the Trailer.

2. When we got home last evening, the Landing Gear Motor would not operate -- I had our local dealer out to the house this afternoon - turns out, the wiring was not cut at the right length and wrapped around itself and eventually pulled off the motor.

The fault alarm and sloppy wiring work at the factory has been a problem many of us have had myself included. I do not recall the improper wiring length problem before..Sloppy workmanship is a industry wide issue that we continue to accept and endure. Go to the keystone /Montana web site and click on send us your idea.. suggest that they might improve on their quality and tell them why...It can't hurt.
