We stayed at the new RV resort at Seven Feathers in Canyonville, Oregon. They have spent a small fortune to build this place up on the hill behind the truck stop with 190 sites. You cannot see much of anything except trees and mountains from the park and you have to really listen to hear the traffic noise on I-5. They are in the process of building a golf course adjacent to the park. The landscaping is beautiful and next spring the rhodendrons will blooming throughout the park. The indoor pool and sauna and workout room are very nice. There is a large group room with kitchen. The free wi-fi had some problems but for the most part worked most of the time. That and the cable TV are free. They even went around and washed windshields on the vehicles. They took the rates off the web site (
www.sevenfeathersrvresort.com) and we were plesantly surprised to find it cheaper than the price we were quoted. With our Players Club card and Good Sam discounts, we had been quoted $108 for 3 days, but paid $81 when we arrived. This would be a great place for a rally, other than not allowing campfires. I do not know if they make exceptions.
If you are traveling through this area, there are other options for camping. There is a county park right down the road with full hookups for $16 and they (for now) still operate a small park right next to the casino for $16 a night with full hookups, but both get a lot of highway noise. There is also a dry camping lot that is free. All sites have free shuttle service to the casino.
Canyonville is located about 20 miles south of Roseburg and 70 miles north of Medford on I-5.
