Carol, if you drive 800 miles south of Gulf shores you will be in Key West and then the ice will melt for good...

Well troops the temp is 25* and they just issued a winter weather advisory for freezing drizzle and fog! I just came home and the TV is now coated with ice and there is constant drizzle that is freezing as it hits. The fearless street crews are no where to be found and the streets are starting to ice over. Sure glad we live in "The Good Life" state of Nebraska. If you don't like the weather just wait about an hour and it will change! You may not like it then either but you shouldn't have complained about it in the first place!! Live it up gang! Carol just put the waterwings on and pretend you're in Hawaii!

Dave,
1.) NOT sure we can afford Key West! GULP
2.) We were actually hoping to go west, as in Arizona west. Dental boo boo has put us a bit off schedule, so, we shall see.
Rondo,
I do NOT envy you that weather report. And not sure waterwings would be sufficient to float Tana! Campsite, thankfully has concrete, or Tana would be sinking. All surrounding land is under water. There is barely enough high and dry for the kids to have a potty area. That said, the view out the desk window, over looking the REAL pond here at the campground is EXCELLENT! And, I got all that concrete to walk on!
WHAHHOOOOOOO
And, I will still gladly accept NO rain for a while, and if it got to 70 or better, my feelings would not be hurt!

Jan's right! No problem making a snowman here in Omaha! Of course you'd probably have to heat the snow up some so you could make the starting ball and to keep it packed. Ron H-- Come on out and we'll show you some real Nebraska hospitality this time of year!! We are suppose to get up to the mid-20's today and then have snow flurries with freezing rain mixed tomarrow nightand more snow again for the next three days with a high of 34 on Sunday then back into the 20's and snow on Tues. thru Christmas Eve. Everyone is invited up here for Christmas but you have to bring some warmer temps with you! OK? OK!!

Hey Helmick, you are from California, too and should remember this. The only snowballs I recall have coconut, come in a few colors and say Hostess on the package. As a youth I ate these with my pants on - I don't follow what Tom S. was getting at.

Well, maybe not 'show' but I'll tell you how you can experience it!

You guys have got it so easy. When I checked into Offutt back in December of 1969, I had just come back from Guam, where it never got below 73*. It was -20* and the wind was blowing at about 20 knots. By the time I got to the front door of the building, about 50' from where I parked the car, my face was numb. The story goes on from there, but I don't want to use it up all at once.
