New Members and New Montana High Country!

Hello, All.

We are Randy and Kathie form Central Pennsylvania. We’ve been camping since the early ninties -- first in a tent (once!) then a couple years in a smallish Coleman pop-up, then 10 years in a big Jayco pop-up, then, for the last three years, in a Rockwood Roo hybrid. Our three granddaughters (4, 6 and 10) and their mom frequently camp with us, and we also have two English springer spaniels who will be joining us from time to time when the kids aren’t along.

We really like the fit and finish of the Montanas, and were excited to find most of the same features in the lighter weight High Country. This past Saturday we finally decided to make the jump, and we purchased a 2013 Montana High Country 338DB. The bunk room will be great when the girls are with us, and will be a great place for the dogs and their crates when we are “kidless.” One of my favorite things will be, I think, the outside kitchen! No more heating up the rig cooking inside in the summer!!

We are in the process of unloading the Roo so we can schedule pick-up of our new rig -- I am sure we will get lots of great info from this forum as we venture into the realm of 5th wheel camping!!

Congratulations on your new High Country! You’ve certainly found the right forum. This is a great site where you can share and find information on almost anything you may need to know about your Montana. Welcome to the forum and may you have many years of happy camping! Who knows, maybe we'll meet up on the road sometime.

Welcome to the Montana family! This is a great group of people and you'll find that they're always ready with help and ideas when you need them. We love our Montana and I'm sure you'll love yours also. Roo's are cool we saw several this summer when we worked for the Corp of Engineers. Wouldn't trade our Montana for one, however. Hope we can meet you somewhere down the road.

Congratulations on your purchase. You will find LOTS of information on this site about your Montana High Country and camping in general.

We are located in NEPA just north of Scranton on Interstate 81.

If you are available, check out the Rally being held in North Carolina the beginning of August. Good place to meet great people and have fun.
