Bowed Slide Out

After about 30 days of getting our Montana I went to wash off the Arizona dust and discoverd the table & couch slide is bowed. The rubber dosn't touch most of the way along and I had water coming in.Will have to wait and see what the dealer says but quality control wasn't there.

Jim,

Sorry to hear about your problem. As Harleyrider asks, can you tell us a bit more about where the bow is? If its at the top has the top of the slide separated from the top outside flange? Is it possible something was on top of the slide when you brought it in? Anyway, hope you get this resolved quickly.

Buddy,

I'm sitting here trying to understand what you mean by "bowed". When you get your coach to the dealer, tell them it will be perfectly OK for them to call if they have questions or need further help.

Also, feel free to call me at 866-524-7821 or on my cell at 574-320-4974. I need to hear in more detail what you are seeing.

If you are talking about the top (roof), the same thing happened on our 3295RK.The fix was rather straight forward. A keystone dealer did it under factory guidance. They took off the facia on the slide which reveals another facia behind the first. This second one is structural. They took it off, turned it over and reinstalled it while three guys held the roof up. The front facia was reinstalled. The whole ordeal took about 30 minutes once they figured out what to do.

It's the slideout itself. When you are inside if you look at the wood trim with the Montana emblem you can see that the top trim isn't level but both ends slope to the middle.Same outside. The top edge of the slide that is next to the wall is ok on the ends but then dips in the middle.Hope this explains it alittle better.

Never heard of anything like that. It sounds like a major problem. I would contact MIMF with some pictures.
