RMNP trail ridge road

I have driven trail ridge road a few times solo, I'm a little apprehensive driving it with the Monty. Has anybody traversed RMNP eastbound with the camper in tow? Any recommendations?

I can't say which way he was going, but here in someone who was at the Visitor's Center on Trail Ridge Road, where the Fall River road comes up to join it. (several years ago.)

We live about 30 miles as the crow flies from RMNP. I personally would not tow Trail Ridge. There are other options. Where are you coming from?

Going from Grand Lake, going to Estes Park. The alternative is going around, picking up I70 and going back north to Loveland to cut back to Estes, As I said, I'm apprehensive about Trail Ridge road, it's fairly narrow and a lot of switchbacks.

When or if you are in Grand Lake take a short drive into park and I think you will drive around. Enjoy RMNP a beautiful place.

There is another option. Take 40 to 125, then 14 into Fort Collins and south to pick up 34. You will go through great moose habitat.

I will take my camper places most wouldn't dare but the trail ridge road isn't one of them. I think there is a private CC just west of the park. Camp there and check it out or better still just take Rons advice. He lives there he knows. Three years ago he advised me not to visit the park because of flooding. I didn't visit the park. If I had visited the park I would have had to take the trail ridge road to get out.
Thanks Ron

Lynwood, glad it worked out for you. We hauled 30 Polaris loads of rock to go to rally that year.
