Frozen Furnace

Got down to 25 degrees here in central Colorado, so I turned on my furnace to keep the pipes from freezing. No heat Fan ran and electronic ignition sparked through three cycles, but no ignition. Stove, hot water heater, and refrigerator worked, but not furnace. Not good. Cycled the thermostat and DC power, still no ignition. Drained lines and turned on a small heater. Hope the pipes are still good. Next day late in the afternoon after it had warmed up in the upper 40s, tried again and furnace ignited!!! Guess propane had moisture in it and iced up in the furnace gas valve.

Don't know if your control would be like mine or not, but my furnace fails to ignite sometimes. I have to do a factory reset and then when I turn it on again it will work. I am trying to limp by this way until we get back from our trip out west and can have it fixed.

If your tank is low enough and it gets cold enough it is possible to have the pressure to be too low for the furnace to work.
