Theres numberous cg around Cody, Theres a State cg west of cody along the water. Can't remember the name. Jackson Hole is reall limited unless you want to stay in FS CG. Just north of Jackson there is the Gros Vonte cg. It handles alot of campers. If you need hookups then Victor Idaho there is a cg Teton Valley CG. Its nice and is 25 miles to Jackson. Theres others and Im sure some one will help. If your in West Yellowstone drive 20 more miles to Island Park Red Rock RV Park. You won't be disapointed. Tell them we sent you. Karen and Gordon or Johnny Rocket and Georgianna.Don't know how far west you are or are going right now but Chris's in Spearfish is easy in and out. Nice ppl, also there is a City CG at the old Fich hatchery in Spearfish. Nice nice.

Don't forget to see the Cody museum. It is a must see. You will need at least 2 days to see it.
There is a nice campground just west of the museum, about a half mile but I don't remember its name. The state CG west of Cody is the Buffalo Bill state park. If it not too windy it is nice but its a lot windier over there than in town.

Just a few blocks from the Cody Museum is a CG called Ponderosa. Very nice park and well run. Near all the attractions. Dont forget the Cody rodeo they have nightly. The chuck wagon dinner is great, the museum etc. Just got through with a trip around the USA that took us 10 months. And Cody is my favorite place of them all. Just a perfect place for us!! Enjoy your trip.

We are staying in Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone in July on our trip out there. We will be traveling for the month of July out through the area, Little Big Horn, Yellowstone, Jackson, Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore etc...

Have fun!

This is where we stay most of the time in Cody. http://www.cody-wy.com/indexF.htm

Just a reminder DO NOT TAKE 14 A INTO CODY it is 10 miles with 10+ percent grade downhill.

I think 14A is my favorite way out of Cody. I think it is the second most beautiful road in Wyoming. I have never used it to get to Cody, just out of Cody. My brother and I had the under coating dripping out from his 454 Chevy leaving Cody. It's steep but I think well worth it.

They have improved the road with jersey walls and have widened it but it is still 10 miles of 10+ percent. Other than that it is a good road. The Ford dealer said they have made a lot of money off the brake jobs thanks to that hill.

We stayed in Buffalo WY and took the southern trip over the Bighorns. I am told a much easier route over the Bighorns. For me it was my first real trip over that kind of mountain and I learned a lot on that trip. If I remember correct 6-8% grade was common for a long ways. Going that way also puts you going thru Thermopolis WY where the Hot Springs are at. Then north to Cody WY. Then after the visit to Cody, you can go directly east into Yellwostone. Just another option to consider.

Oh and don't forget a trip to the famous Bluetooth Mtn trip, wow is all I can say about that. Its a good day trip from Cody for the trip. I would suggest not trying to take the Monty with you on that trip.

Don't rule out Yellowstone either. Fishing bridge has sites that allow trailer up to 40 ft with room for a tow vehicle. We stayed there one year. I think our site didn't have sewer, but had water and elec.
You have to kind of look around for these large sites and in some obscure place I found the reference to the fact you could park the tow vehicle on the site too. I think there are sites available maybe in July but they fill up fast.

Chris if you stay in Dubious take a day and go up on Union Pass and spend a day. It is the prettiest place in Wyoming. Take your fishing pole and catch a few trout. All the tiny streams have trout in them. Fish Lake of The Woods it is beautiful. Catch nice meal at The Sawmill Lodge on the way up.

Chris, about 85 miles south of Cody is Fountain Of Youth RV Park. Has the world's largest mineral hot springs. That's Thermopolis, WY.
