Ram diesel codes

2013 6.7l diesel giving P2201 and P1C55 codes. Can't find out if this means will have to replace parts or can be a computer fix. Have tried Ram forum etc. Do you know the answer or where I can find out? Ram dealer says he can't tell me without some checking at $110 hr. labor charge.

Both NOx sensor codes... Took me two seconds to find them on Internet... Googled.

P2201 and P1C55 together is almost certainly going to be a NOX sensor failure, or issue with the DPF system.

I believe the P1C55 is an intermittent open/reading code, so I would lean toward a failing sensor almost certainly at the inlet.

Not a mechanic at all, but if this is the oxygen sensor problem that I had and many ranchers have had (too much slow driving), Dodge did a fix to mine under warranty that's supposed to fix it once and for all. That was last summer and so far so good.

My 09 was throwing similar codes. The dealer said the only fix was to change the sensor. My buddy retired the code with his reader and it hasn't come back in 2 years. Lesson learned, "Never change a part based on first code" Jim

That figures. i guess i would need to look at my warranty also. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but hopefully you will find an answer and a quick and cheap fix.

Only 459 miles out of warranty? A good dealer could get approval for warranty repair.

I would also check directly with Ford or another dealership. Seems like the government is forcing manufacturers to extend their emission warranties due to the issues over the last 4-5 years. Also agree, dealer should be able to resolve this. Many fall short on what emission coverages exist.
