Ok, how would a muffler clamp take the play out of the receiver hitch?

It is hard to describe but take a good look. It takes a large clamp.

Dick, If you have a welder available, you can drill a 5/8" hole thru the bottom piece that slides over the receiver. Take a 1/2" bolt and nut, clamp it to the bracket and weld the nut to the bracket. Paint it up and then put it on the receiver, run the bolt in to take up the slop. Just an idea. I had a front receiver on a different truck and the pin was threaded with a 180 degree part coming back and went into a hole against the bike rack.

Any concerns with the RockTamers and proximity to the diesel exhaust pipe? The flap nearest it (5-6") is getting a little warm

We were told that we needed 10 to 12 inches clearance between the flaps and the exhaust pipe on our 2011.
As we just installed the Rock Tamers we also installed the Rock Tamers heat sheild.
Hope this works as we have been told it would.

Do you have a link for it? I tried the website you posted and it went nowhere. I did find 4x4work.com, but have been unable to find it in the search. Maybe using the wrong terms for search. A link would be appreciated!

I already have the Rock Tamers...bought them while living in AK. I was looking at the receiver plug without the ball hitch. Thanks though!
