Brake wires

Had the dealer check the brakes. Just looked under trailer and the wires coming down out of the coraplast are hanging down and not attached to anything except where they are joined near the axle to the other wires. Is this normal? Thanks
Edit: By 'not attached, I mean no mounting brackets or clips to hold them in place. They are attached to the wires for teh brake and the crossover wires.

The wires just kind of hang in the air that is common on most all 5er's and TT on the road.

I put mine in some wire loom from an auto parts store. Just in case they might rub and chafe on the springs, etc.

One of my wheels had the brake wire hanging so low that it was rubbing on the inside of wheel. If I had not caught it during a creeper trip inspection under the 5r, it would have eventually rubbed through and possibly shorted out.

Had intermittent brake problems Took it to Croft Trailer Center in Kansas City. Technician said he probably knew the problem. Where the wires go into the hollow axle they will chafe and short out intermittently. He ran new wires outside the axle held on with black tape and wire ties No more problems.
