Slide out leaking

My husband is the one on here all the time read & really never writing anything. I thought I would warn all of you about the tape on these slideouts. It is the tape that goes over the rubber roof material & the piece of metal. He is up on our roof allot sweeping the slide off & washing etc. He looks at things to see if all is well up there. Well he dd not notice any thing wrong with this slide out until recently so he bought some of that tape for our dealer. They told him it was awful job getting that tape up withou tearing the rubber roof material. He went up there to do this & didn't have a problem at all getting that tape up as there was allot of areas that was not adherd down. Which means it has be leaking for years. The partical board is completly rotten & the side wall is starting to delaminate. I called our dealer telling them what we have found. Of course it is way out of warranty. I called Keystone customer service & was told basically that it is a problem due to lack og maintainence. You can not see it leaking down into your unit when it is going down behind a false wall of the tv & fireplace. I disagree with that but what can we do? I am going to try to post a few pictures of this. Just wanted to ket you all know before this happens to you.
